Overview:
Reduces the presence of adult and juvenile insects of the arthropod family. Interrupts insect reproductive cycles by promoting dehydration of eggs and larvae on contact. Cedar oil also acts as a natural antimicrobial agent that neutralizes commonly found bacteria, fungus and mildews. This formula has been developed especially for use in yards, vegetable gardens, on trees, groves, flowerbeds and shrubbery. The active ingredient is pure cedar oil obtained from cedar trees found in East Central Texas hill country regions of the USA. An inert carrier of Ethyl Lactate/Lactic Acid serves to make a convenient, water soluble pest control spray solution.

As an ongoing pest maintenance program:
Best practice is to apply as part of an ongoing insect management program for ongoing control of insects, fungus, bacteria and other pathogens. First time applications should involve a liberal soak to all areas where insect reduction is desired. Follow up maintenance applications only require getting previously treated areas wet. Application frequency is often adequate when done every 4-6 weeks, but can be applied more often if desired. There is no concern about harmful build up in soil or vegetation, runoff into waterways or overexposure to people or animals. Cedar oil can be applied to fruits and vegetables right up to harvest time.

Directions for use - Gallon Garden and Greenery Spray.
A DG label outdoor concentrate pest control solution.

Dilution ratios listed are commonly used starting points for various applicator types. Concentration levels can be adjusted up or down. Actual insect repelling results, geographic location, time of year and type of vegetation involved will influence optimum dilution ratio for your situation. With Garden and Greenery cedar oil concentrate you do not have to worry about overdose of sythetic chemicals. Time allows the cedar formula to penetrate and permeate areas treated. Ongoing use will enhance your particular treatment results and offer effective ongoing pest control maintenance.

Treatment application tips:
  • The objective is to make sure a liberal soak is accomplished to all areas including lawns, patios, shrubberies, flower beds, vegetable gardens, fruit bearing and other trees, natural foliage and casual standing water. Okay to spray on concrete surfaces and natural foliage. Do not spray on azaleas or rhododendrons.
  • Application to lawns and other plant life should be done in the morning or early evening times to avoid heat related phytotoxic burn to landscaped areas.
  • To maintain pest controlled perimeters around homes or other structures, we suggest you start with washing down the side of structures you intend to protect with diluted solution. Using the structure as a center point, continue by spraying grounds outwardly until the desired insect reduced area is established around all sides of the structure(s).
Comprehensive list of cedar oil features:
  • Can be used as a drench or foliage spray.
  • Can be applied to fruits and vegetable right up to harvest time.
  • Neutralizes and repels adult insects and offspring on contact. Including, (but not limited to), Ants, Mosquitoes, Flies, Moths, Grubs, Army Worms, Mole Crickets, Fleas, Ticks, Mites, Chiggers, Grasshoppers, White Fly, Mediterranean Fruit Fly, Citrus Rust Mite, Nematodes, Aphids, Scale, Stink Bugs, Bag Worms, Eastern Tent Caterpillar and other flying, biting, or crawling arthropods and subterranean pests. Including subterranean termites.
  • Bio solvent influences of cedar oil will impair insect eggs and larvae on contact by hastening erosion of the exoskeleton and cuticle. The oil promotes rapid dehydration to all phases of the egg-layer cycle. It further interrupts offspring by creating pheromone interference with the insect's octopamine neuro receptors. Even works when applied over standing water to interfere with mosquito life cycles.
  • Cedar oil has natural bactericide and fungicide properties. It will effectively reduce powdery mildew and other fungal organisms such as brown patch, take all patch, dollar spot and other turf yellowing diseases.
  • Has no adverse effect on beneficial or pollinator insects such as butterflies, bee's or any of the amphibian or lizard family.
Garden type hose end sprayers general use dilution: (recommended method)
  • Depending on type of pests, environmental conditions and personal preference, combine 4, 6, or 8 ounces of concentrate with 28, 26 or 24 ounces of water respectively. Mix well.
  • Pour mixture into cup of hose end sprayer, replace sprayer top, hook up to household garden hose and spray areas you wish to treat.
  • If sprayer is adjustable use medium spray settings. You are ready to spray.
Dry type applicator general use dilution:
ie: trigger, hand held pump type and back pack sprayers or fogging machines.
  • Mix 1 ounce concentrate per one quart water to make 33 ounces ready to spray product.
  • Mix 4 ounces concentrate per 128 ounces of water to make 1 gallon ready to spray product.
  • Each gallon of ready to spray mixture will treat approximately from 1,000 to 1,200 square feet.
High pressure spray equipment:
  • Mix 1 quart concentrate per 300 gallons water.
Misting Systems:
  • Mix 32 ounces of Garden and Greenery concentrate to 55 gallons of water in drum (or equivalent)
Water Injection Systems:
  • 2 to 3 ounces concentrate per 1,000 sq ft per zone per month
Non thermal fogging:
  • 3% or 4 ounces of concentrate to one gallon water. Apply as desired using non-thermal type fogging machine
Grub worm treatments:
  • Use 8 ounces of concentrate to one gallon of water. You want to saturate the Grub infested area to penetrate cedar solution deep into the soil.
Above dilution ratio is for an applicator that does not add water. ie: trigger, back pack, or pump up sprayer.
  • If possible, the best time to spray is right before a good rainfall.
  • Maintain a regular watering to keep area moist. Spray additional water right on top of treatment.
  • The idea is to get the cedar solution as deep into the soil as possible.
